Jane Bonia started designing jewelery in Montreal, QC while working for French-Canadian Designer 'Renee Levesque'. Starting as a production worker and eventually working her way up to the Wholesale-Production Manager/ Designer position, she knew that she had a future with Jewelery Design. After moving home to St.John's Newfoundland, Jane joined forces with colleague Meghynn Norman to form JaM Jewellery which became a trend around town. Although starting to gain popularity, Jane decided to say goodbye to JaM and focus on her solo project, La Petite Colis.
How many years have you been designing jewelry?
I have been designing for a little over 4 years, but was always artsy as a child.
Hey lady, do you advertise on Facebook with their ad application or do you just post stuff on your page? I was wondering because I was debating on using their ad app just to try it out.

Well, I've looked at Etsy and I think the competition on there is UNreal because it's like the ideal spot to sell your stuff and I just don't know that I"m ready to try them yet. I have a store now that's free of charge and automatically relists my item every 180 days or something like that. But I have 1 thing in there (as I've said I'm working on inventory) so I really haven't tried to promote it. My cousin told me to do so on facebook once I get it going because it's a great place to network and advertise. I have a paypal account because I buy A LOT off eBay and sell miscellaneous stuff as well. I'll try that facebook thing eventually and I'll let ya know how it goes. Thanks for all your input. I appreciate it! :-D
Thanks so much for the reply on my "Selling Jewelry" Discussion. I'm on facebook but haven't done a group thing. I'll have to git it a shot. I'm working on my inventory now so I'll be sure to make a group and post anouncements once the store is full. My room and computer will be out of commission for a while because I"m laying new carpet so all I'll be able to do is work on jewelry anyway. Do you have much luck selling your high priced items to people on facebook?
