Profile Information

About Me
I'm a seed-bead weaving obsessed artist and full time mom.
How many years have you been designing jewelry?
I've been working with seed beads most of my life, but only began making jewelry in 2006. I'm crazy about spiral rope and herringbone stitch, and I also enjoy making two-drop peyote cuff bracelets.
What is your favorite jewelry website?

What is your favorite jewelry store?

Did you go to school to learn jewelry design?
Nope, I've learned most of my skills from books and magazines. My mother taught me to do bead embroidery at a young age, but off-loom weaving is my new passion.
Do you have a favorite jewelry designer (other then yourself...)
I'm a big admirer of Zoya Gutina - http://gem-beaded-jewelry.blogspot.com/
I adore the work of David K. Chatt - http://www.davidchatt.com/

Christmas and Holiday Jewelry

As much as I would love to be an expert on creating beaded Christmas ornaments, I'm far too obsessed with jewelry design. I did recently design a bead embroidered ornament, but when I think holiday beading, I think of red, white and green necklaces and bracelets.

For all of my fellow beaders out there that are looking for ideas on how to create festive jewelry for the holidays, I've complied a few of my favorite designs with step-by-step instructions. I've been working on this guide to holiday… Continue

Mortira,
this is what is so GREAT about artisan jewelers-we all have such individual ways of working and creating. i love sharing with others who design jewelry because it continues to make us grow and motivates into unseen areas of creation...

Thanks for your comment on my purple pendant. I've also designed matching earrings.

I like your work, too. Not into seed beads because I'm on the computer all day at work.

Do you sell online?

No problem! LOL. I know what it's like being busy. I could sit at the computer for 18 hours a day, and still not get done all the things I want to do. Add in beading, and housework, and of course kids, and things tend to get left undone.
