- About Me
- Formed in 2006, Mzuribeads focus on providing paper bead jewellery and loose paper beads to a diverse range of customers throughout the UK. The beads are hand rolled from used magazines and poster, then varnished for a water resistant and glossy finish. Mzuirbeads is a cooperative and is located in Uganda / UK.
Over 20 enthusiastic jewellers work from their homes, in the village of Ndejje, just outside Kampala in Uganda. Kirstie MacLean (managing director)works in between the UK and Uganda, securing markets and working on the latest designs. Angus MacLean is the accountant, Dawn Frances, Press, Victoria Barnet, Events, (respectively).
Mzuribeads has a small customer base, situated in and around Glasgow, including Nancy Smillies Jewellery Studio, Bolshie Eco Fashion Cafe, Che Camille Fashion Studio, and more.
Their is also an online shop linked to the website.
