I first lived in Wausau, WI all my life until my sister-in-law wanted me to come out to San Diego, CA. Since I was having problems in my married. By the way I have 2 pretty daughter named Jamie & Michelle. Well enough on that.
I move out to sunny San Diego, CA Nov. 1995. I LOVE it out here! It took me a while to settle in with some dead in jobs. Then in Dec. 1997 I started making great money until March of 2006. I found out that I have Degenerated Disc Desease in my back. I also have a synotic nerve running down the back of my leg into the bottom of my foot. So I couldn't work. Enough on that story.
Well I have been making jewelry since 1990. I remember getting ideas in from books that I have bought. Now I just dream up a design and make the jewelry. So I make beaded Necklaces, Earrings, Bracelets and Anklets. I just started to collect Gemstones and I also buy the casting to make beautiful jewelry. I also started to wire wrap alittle more.
How many years have you been designing jewelry?
1990-Present or should I say forever! I started with buying book and then I just started thinking about some beads and on wire and putting it together.
Yes, I am Peggy....I have a Friend on there that told me about this place and she is the one helping me Design my store banner and also the mini banner for MYspace. I tried yesterday to bring you up under the search engine on Etsy, but couldn't find you. I was going to send you a convo and say, Hi!.. I also wanted to check out your store.
Take Care and thanks for encouraging me...I wouldn't have checked Esty out for some time if you hadn't shared how inexpensive they were with me. Blessings.
I think he graduated in '62, from Newman High School. His folks lived on Lakeview Drive (I think).
Oh, and it's ok to have more than one shop on Etsy, but when I signed up to Ruby Lane as an Exclusive Seller, I couldn't have any other shops on the web.
OMG! Never thought I'd run across someone from Wausau, WI! My husband was born and raised there and I moved to Wausau from Bellevue, Washington when I was 23 and we proceeded to get married. I am now 63 and living in Franklin, TN.
Your jewelry is lovely! I used to have a shop on Etsy, but recently decided to become an exclusive seller on Ruby Lane, which meant I couldn't have another shop where I sell my jewelry.
Hi again...No, I'm not...I have thought about it. I started out on ArtsAndCraftsFair.com, but it has been a total bomb. In two years I've had 3 bites and then the buyers never followed through. Now, I'm building lots more in inventory and planning in the next 3-4 months to create my own website or possibly do Etsy. I am also going to try to sell my wares in high end boutiques in the area....some women I've interviewed so to speak told me that was where their real bread and butter came from. Can I ask you what kind of income you are able to get on Etsy? I'm so curious if anyone is making money on there and if it is worth putting time into. I don't want to get into your personal business, so please don't see it that way. Hope your day improves and you start having some energy and joy!
