About Me
Along with my husband, Michael Gloster, I am the owner of Gloster Global LLC. We are currently designing and manufacturing jewelry based on our original - very successful - sculpture designs. The jewelry will be available for retail purchase on our website, and made available at wholesale prices to other retail outlets (gift stores and galleries) for resale.

In coordination with that business we have written and recorded a theme song – Together as One. Versions of Together as One may be heard heard at www.glosterglobal.com accompanying videos we created that draw on our travel and work experiences in Africa and around the world. By promoting the music and its message, as well as the product, we will also be promoting fair trade practices, human rights and social justice.

Backing up our objectives, Gloster Global pays royalties to the Zimbabwean artists who collaborated on the original sculpture designs to help provide them with a sustainable means of support. We will also soon be establishing a non-profit foundation in which to deposit a portion of profits for charitable donations to other causes.

Universal symbols of our shared values, emphasizing the importance of family, friends, kinship and community, all of our designs are relationship themed, conveying connection, caring, and love. As meaningful, but still affordable gifts, they offer excellent marketing opportunities for family holidays, births, bridal gifts, and any number of important life events.

Right now we are also creating a line of animal themed jewelry, which will be targeted at all pet owners and pet lovers, and help support animal welfare and rescue.

Underlying my business and entrepreneurial pursuits is an academic background in Visual Arts, Art History, Women's, Cultural and Performance Studies, as well as experience in fashion merchandising. Commitment to social justice and civil society, sustainable economic and environmental development and fair trade, among other related causes, has likewise been critical to Gloster Global, and continues to inform its evolution.

Now, running Gloster Global affords me a unique opportunity to combine my expertise and experience in business, art and design, with my social and environmental interests by creating products with purpose: fair-trade art-based products that can be used to further much that is important to so many around the world.
How many years have you been designing jewelry?

Merchants Pulling Jewelry Made from Highly Toxic Metal Known as Cadmium

Federal and state watchdogs opened a new front Monday in the campaign to keep poisons out of Chinese imports, launching inquiries into high levels of cadmium in children's jewelry while Walmart pulled many suspect items from its store shelves.

A day after The Associated Press documented the contamination in an investigative report, the top U.S. consumer safety regulator warned Asian manufacturers not to substitute other toxins for lead in children's charm bracelets and pendants.

Regulators and… Continue

Your enterprises are ideal and your pieces are wonderful. As a designer, I have struggled with the fair trade for many years. Thankfully, there are many more fair trade businesses now and it's easier to aquire beads that are both good for the environment and especially good for people!
Keep up the good work and I shall pass your good works on to those who would be most interested!!!!
